Svartlöga

Svartlöga (meaning black island, on account of its many trees, we believe) is quite far out in the archipelago. It has 2 ferries per day and the nearest shop is on Rödlöga, its cousin, a few miles northeast.

Trevor's father (or maybe it was his grandfather) bought land here and built the first 2 houses, but since then about 2 or three more have been built as the family expanded. They have their own mini-harbour, and of course a flagpole (that's Stephan by it in the picture). Down at the big harbour to the south there are a cluster of older houses, going back 150 years or so.
