Farsund

We never went into Farsund on our way down (or up) this coast in 2007. That's because it is rather a dog-leg off the direct course to or from the Nes, and we always seem to be too short of time to spend an extra hour going in, and another coming out, etc.

But Sven and Irene were right - it's a really lovely town, well sheltered from the westerlies by a substantial mountain, and with beautiful wooded islands to the east and south, which give it a mediterranean feel.
